Can we send you to Romania for a similar adventure and report? Carpathian Mountains, rich soils and generous souls. Traditional peasant lifestyle still happening in places. Lovely wooden churches.
And ‚Is a River Alive?‘ tells a hugely powerful story - one that more people need to hear. Alongside academic research and policy work, creative work - whether literature or in the fields of art and design - is vital in raising awareness and in changing hearts and minds. We need to show that there is another way of perceiving and living in the world that is in tune with nature, and to inspire people to call for change from the grassroots. The end chapters of the book are a crescendo where the power and life of the river almost flows from the page - it is definitely worth reading!
Peer review. There are A LOT of published papers coming out of China now. It may be that there are problems with translations, but a lot of times when I read a paper from China, it just doesn't seem as well put together as papers I read from other countries.
There are, but there's a lot of good stuff too. And it's not just China -- the problem with high throughput of low quality papers is across the board, unfortunately.

Thinking we need increase subscriptions to fund that? Hmmm must be a way make it happen. 😊
Must be! Current rate suggests I'll get there by 2090 :)
Maybe after things settle down a bit politically people will find you. It is a different tone in us this week compared to last. Maybe 2060?
